I have to admitt that I had never read a Christian Fiction book before I read "Written on the Wind" by Judith Pella. The main reason that I bought it was that it was set during World War 2. But after starting the book, I was very sorry that it me so long to read it. Ms. Pella is truly a great writer that is able bring the characters to life. She is also is able to show that during war-time faith is something that is needed for survival. This is a book that should not be missed and I look foward to read the other books in the "Daughters of Fortune" series!

I order this book in paper back and the condition was rated as new. I received a hardback copy of this book with no dust jacket and it certainly is not new. The edges of the pages--top, bottom and sides are dark and also are dirty. I was ordering this book as one of this series that I was going to give as a gift and this is certainly not in the condition to give as a gift and I don't want it in my own collection. I could not rate this book as there is no place to rate a zero except by not giving any stars of recommendation.
This was a good read...it's the first in a series of 3 and it holds the reader's attention well...haven't finished the series yet, but looking forward to it!
This book was the start of a series. It is VERY good. I would recommend this to anyone. There is history along with the characters. It is fabulous.
The fact that these Judith Pella novels are Christian based makes them very appealing to me. The story lines are very believable and make for an intriguing read. I highly recommend them.
overall this book was amazing. Ive read it twice now and cant seem to get enough of it. Judith Pella is an amazing writer and i especially love how she intertwined The Russians in with this series as well. it adds to the depth and creates an atmosphere of familiarity to those who are also fans of The Russians. my recommendation before reading this series is to read The Russians first to understand some background when Cameron meets the Yevnovas and such.

I don't read historical, romantic fiction too often, and I have enjoyed this book and the series as well. I think it was well written and kept you thinking about the next in the series. Isn't that the point for the author? I have just finished book three in the series and now have to wait.. only disappointment is the next release is 2005..
This is an excellent story of the oldest of three sisters who becomes a foreign correspondent to Russia. It covers the trials of working in a country, which tightly controls all information in and out of the country. I would recommend this book along with the other three books of this four-book series, which tell of romance, love, and history on three fronts during World War II.
